The Sterile Services Department (SSD) is a critical part of the supply chain for theatres, and in turn theatres depend on SSDs for their equipment. It is important for Theatres to know the instruments that leave the SSD sterile, arrive sterile. The means of containing the instruments while in the steriliser and while they are being transported thereafter, can affect sterility.  In this presentation, Dr ter Haar discusses the pros and cons of using containers vs wraps, and what this means in relation to the ongoing sterility of the instruments.
